Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chapters service, including our website at ourchapters.com and any related products or services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Framework One FZ-LLC ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, or by joining our waitlist, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who we are

The Service is operated by Framework One FZ-LLC, a free zone limited liability company incorporated under the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Chapters is the consumer-facing brand name for this service.

Eligibility and account registration

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service or to join our waitlist. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

During the early access period, use of the Service is limited to individuals who have been invited or have registered on our waitlist. We reserve the right to accept or decline waitlist registrations at our sole discretion.

You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering, and to keep that information current.

Description of the service

Chapters enables families to capture growing-up moments — photos, voice notes, text messages, and videos — sent via WhatsApp, and transforms them into beautifully written, printed memory books.

The Service is currently in early access. Features, pricing, and availability may change. We will notify registered users of material changes where reasonably practicable.

Certain features, including hard-copy book printing, are subject to availability and may be provided as separate add-ons or included in specific subscription plans.

User content and intellectual property

You retain full ownership of all content you send to us — including photos, voice notes, videos, and messages ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Framework One FZ-LLC a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store, and use that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We will never use your User Content to train artificial intelligence models, share it with third parties for commercial purposes, or use it for any purpose other than creating your memory book.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you submit, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

All intellectual property in the Service itself — including software, designs, branding, and written outputs we produce — remains the property of Framework One FZ-LLC or its licensors.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes any third party's rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems.
• Use the Service to transmit unsolicited communications or malware.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the Service.
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.

Plans, pricing, and payment

During the early access period, you are joining a waitlist for a paid or free subscription plan. No payment is taken at the waitlist stage.

When the Service launches, subscription plans will be offered on monthly or annual billing cycles at the prices displayed at the time of purchase. Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment equivalent to ten months.

Prices are displayed in US dollars and are subject to applicable taxes where required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes to existing subscribers before they take effect.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at hello@ourchapters.com if you have a billing concern.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any content produced by the Service will meet your expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Framework One FZ-LLC and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by contacting us at hello@ourchapters.com to remove your data and waitlist registration.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or applicable law, or if we cease to operate the Service.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and specifically the rules applicable to free zone companies in the relevant emirate.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, unless otherwise required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.

Note: if you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under local law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website, with at least 14 days' notice before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
